Emily Pellegrino, therapist for the LGBTQ community and highly sensitive people

i get it.

I’ve been through my own journey and I know how painful it is to not know which way is up. Your journey will look different than mine, but I can help you navigate this often nonsensical and chaotic world and develop a relationship with yourself that feels good and grounded and nourishing. With that in place, anything is possible.

You'll find that my style is empathetic, warm, and engaged. I don’t just sit back and listen, but I’m fully in this journey with you. You aren’t alone in this, and we’ll definitely laugh and most likely cry. I weave holistic, mindfulness and body-based modalities into my practice alongside a psychodynamic, feminist, relational, and trauma-informed perspective. So what does all that mean? I’ve received many various trainings, but I’m also human, just like you.

Through my many experiences both personally and professionally, I have seen people in many life transitions and have experienced the joys and sorrow that come with each of those. I would be deeply honored to meet you where you are at in your life and help you grow to where you want to be.

a little about me

I am originally from New England and grew up immersed in the woods and surrounded by nature. A lot of who I am has been informed by those experiences. I found my way to the Bay Area by way of Chicago and have lived here for almost 10 years. I love being outside whether it’s hiking in the mountains or surfing in the ocean. I find tattoos beautiful, am intrigued by crime podcasts/documentaries/movies, am known for singing the wrong lyrics to songs, and have two rescue dogs. Some identities that are important to me are my queer identity, ultrarunner, and adoptive parent. I live with my wife and two kids in the Bay Area.
